Constellation
At the heart of Constellation’s transformative capabilities lies its constellation of features, comprising the Ground Central and one or more Satellites. Seamlessly connecting to the Ground Central, each Satellite is able to capture the minutest nuances of motion from various parts of the body, such as arms, ankles, hips, and head, enabling precise emotion capture like never before.

Ground Central
This is the main hub of the Constellation ecosystem. In a nutshell, here’s where the Satellites are connected to and where all processing happens. It incorporates a 2.8-in full colour TFT display which hosts a feature-rich UI that allows for quick and simple configuration. The Ground Central includes two sturdy footswitches which allow it to be placed on a pedalboard and controlled by simply stomping on it.
The back panel is actually an interchangeable expansion card which can be upgraded at any point without having to buy a full new unit. Expansion cards with different input & output capabilities are currently under development and will be released soon. The Ground Central will initially ship with the Audio Card, which includes the following input & output configuration:
- USB-C connector for power, remote control and firmware upgrades.
- Combo XLR / TRS input with -12 to +40 dB of digitally-adjustable gain. The XLR connector can supply +48V phantom power for condenser and ribbon microphones.
- Stereo ⅛” / 3.5mm headphones output.
- +9-12V power input (2.1mm centre-negative barrel connector).
- Left / right TRS balanced outputs.
- MIDI DIN-5 output.
- USB-C connector for power, remote control and firmware upgrades.

Satellites
These wearables include IMU sensors (3-axis accelerometer, gyroscope and magnetometer), a MEMS microphone, an RGB LED and a linear motor for haptic feedback in order to provide the user with a “feeling” based on their actions.
The Satellites are connected to the Ground Central via a custom radio-frequency link (no Bluetooth® or Wi-Fi® involved), which guarantees absolutely no latency at all.
Power is provided via a Li-ion battery which can be recharged through a USB-C port.
The hardware processes audio from instruments and vocals via a dedicated microphone input. On-board FXs are motion-controlled, providing an immersive and interactive experience for both artist and audience.
Our ultimate goal is to enhance the performer’s emotions and expressions by harnessing augmented reality technologies, while ensuring they are accessible and user-friendly for everyone.
MIDI messages can control external equipment such as synthesisers, DAWs, outboard equipment, etc.
Eventually, with the release of different expansion card flavours, Constellation will also allow controlling video and 3D mapping software, lighting equipment, etc. – And if you dare, you could even control a robotic arm!
Percussive sounds such as drums or claps can be generated right out of the box from the Ground Central – No other external equipment is required.
