Meet Manuel Peirone: Engineering the Future of Audio Technology

In the audio industry, true innovation lives at the intersection of rigorous engineering and musical intuition. Today, we’re spotlighting the journey of our Founder, Manuel Peirone, whose work in digital signal processing (DSP) and hardware design continues to shape the tools used by audio engineers and musicians worldwide.

A Foundation in Live Sound Engineering

Manuel’s path began with a passion for music and a degree in Electronic Engineering. Driven to engineer industry-defining audio technology, he moved to the UK to join Midas Consoles.

There, Manuel worked directly on embedded DSP systems for iconic digital consoles, including the XL8, the PRO Series (PRO1, PRO2, PRO X), and core mixing engines for the Heritage D. Writing low-level assembly code and C/C++ while managing real-time audio streams gave him a masterclass in the unyielding demands of high-end live sound.

Bridging Innovation and Real-World Performance

Manuel later joined Neural DSP as an early core developer. As a Senior DSP and Embedded Developer, he led engineering efforts for the flagship Quad Cortex. His primary focus was balancing strict real-time DSP constraints with machine-learning audio modeling—delivering ultra-flexible, high-fidelity algorithms inside a compact hardware unit.

Throughout a career collaborating with brands like Midas, Neural DSP, and AudioControl, Manuel has maintained a singular focus: solving complex technical challenges by minimizing latency, preserving signal integrity, and building rock-solid embedded systems.

Building Axioma Tech Solutions

Driven by a passion for pristine sound and well-crafted gear, Manuel founded Axioma to help brands turn ambitious product visions into market-ready technology. Leading a dedicated engineering team, he oversees end-to-end audio product development—from schematic capture and PCB layout to low-level DSP architecture.

“Our goal isn’t just to deliver circuit designs or code. It’s to collaborate closely, refine ideas, and build robust, dependable tools that truly serve musicians and sound engineers.”

Equally central to his strategy is team design. Manuel handpicks and empowers specialized engineering teams tailored to the specific needs of each project, placing human talent at the core of Axioma’s operations.

A New Horizon: MJP Audio Designs

As Axioma continues to expand its client engineering services, Manuel’s personal audio philosophy found a dedicated home with the launch of MJP Audio Designs. Debuting with its flagship product, Constellation, MJP Audio Designs marks the next milestone in Manuel’s lifelong commitment to honest, exceptional audio gear.
